To rent a car from Your Ride for general daily rental or rideshare rentals, you must fulfill certain criteria, including your age and the status of your driver’s licence. The amount of excess you are liable for in case of an accident varies depending on your age. The security deposit is the same for everyone.
Security deposits
- $400 must be paid as a security deposit to Your Ride for all car rentals, returned up on the undamaged, clean car
Driver requirements
- Be aged 18 or over
- Be fully licensed and legally permitted to drive in Australia
Excess for our insurance
- Aged 18 – 21 excess is $1,000
- Aged 21 – 25 excess is $1,500
- Aged 25+ excess is $1,000
Due to insurance requirements, there are no exceptions to these rules.
